Ådehlÿ Shupm Le (/s̼upm/ /le/ [magenta] [mother]) is a subtropical Town located in Qà I̊veb County, Ÿrtrewlqålÿ Kingdom, within the United Kingdom of Undermountain.

The name Ådehlÿ Shupm Le is derived from the Dwarven language, as Ådehlÿ Shupm Le was founded by Dyêv Hutchäawy, who was culturaly Dwarvern.

Climate

Overview

Ådehlÿ Shupm Le was founded durring the early 15th century in fall of the year 1445, by Dyêv Hutchäawy. The establishment of Ådehlÿ Shupm Le suffered from many setbacks, delays, and obsticles, most notably a group of Ådehlÿ Shupm Le which required millitary assistance exterminate before the community could finish being built.

Ådehlÿ Shupm Le was built using the conventions of Dwarvern durring the early 15th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Ådehlÿ Shupm Le is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Ådehlÿ Shupm Le is buildings are speckled and packed arround restrictive flagstone streets with seemingly no patern to them. It appears as if the town's residents simply built streets as they pleased and squeazed buildings in wherever and howeave rpossible, creating an organic, frustrating to navigate, maze of a town. The town sits comfortably behind a palisade wall complete with a timber gatehouse and battlments. Ådehlÿ Shupm Le's timber-based walls has sufferd soem light damage, reducing its function a little in some spots, but could almsot certainly preform as expected... Though some of the worse spots could lead to the loss of defenders lives if attackers identified the weaknesses ahead of time.

Right off the bat Ådehlÿ Shupm Le hits you in the face with its success. Everyone, even the peasants, are dressed in well made clothing. Every tool and implement you can see is finely made, and people will boast to you as obvious strangers of the wonders which can be found in their markets. More interestingly is a total lack of beggars, and plenty of new buildings are going up even as you speak. Somehow this town has come into quite a lot of wealth, and recently from the looks of things. Precisely how it has gained its wealth is a mystery. Ådehlÿ Shupm Le is, in a word, disorder. People seem to be allowed to do as they please with little harmoney to anything. It feels less like a town, and more like a spot people just happened to place their homes. Yet there are small elements here and there which show the underlying structure of the community. It’s just so complex, organic, and flowing one can only understand what is a piece of the puzzle, but not what its neighbors are.

Cultural Notes

Ådehlÿ Shupm Le's chapel was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by vertical proportions, pointed arches, external buttressing, and asymmetry in the general shape of its buildings. The decorative features of the style were key, consisting of large arched windows, pointed arches, vaulted ceilings, flying buttresses, and sculptures integrated into the structure itself. Occasionally, for very important buildings, an array of sculptures or one colossal sculpture might replace the entirety of the entrance to said building.

In Ådehlÿ Shupm Le during thunderstorms, with each flash of lightning, everyone sees different monsters from the corner of their eyes.

The Flea, Mammoth near Ådehlÿ Shupm Le are known to be almost tame, such that they can be put to domestic use.

Ådehlÿ Shupm Le's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in spring and involves consuming a local toxin to channel Transmutation energies of tier 1 via guttural bellowing.
